Explore Vauxhall

Known as the potato capital of the west, we are located along highway 36 and are part of the municipal district of Taber.

The abundance of irrigation land, as well as oil and gas resources, have played a vital role in our community’s economic success.

We are conveniently located 35 km’s north of Taber and 89 km’s from the nearest major centre, Lethbridge.

Roughly 1,200 residents are able to enjoy our three parks, regulation tennis courts, public library, outdoor swimming pool, the Royal Canadian Legion, and locally owned small businesses. Our town is served by the local fire department, RCMP detachment, medical clinic, 3 schools (elementary, high school, and the horizon MAP school), and the weekly Vauxhall Advance Newspaper. Summer visitors in need of a place to stay can find the popular Lion’s campground located only one kilometer outside of the town site. The campground offers full amenities to its 30 sites, offers camping for groups, and sites border a large open field.
